From business owner to business leader

Leadership coaching for value driven entrepreneurs who want their growing team to be as passionate about their business as they are.

6 sessions | £1,997

You started your business because you wanted to do things your way.

The status quo in your industry isn’t good enough and so you began your journey with bags of ambition and an idealistic vision that you were mocked for (even if it wasn’t to your face).

But you’re proving them wrong.

Your customers want to work with you BECAUSE you do things differently and now your business is growing quicker than you are.

You feel part of you trying to hold back. This scary new territory is triggering your imposter syndrome as you now realise you are more than a passionate business owner, you are a business leader.

You don’t feel like one.

Having a team is what you wanted but you never realised the challenges that would bring.

More people on board means more potential problems, and instead of freeing up your time and energy to focus on your customers you often feel you’re just spending it firefighting.

You hired good people who know what they are doing, so why is it so hard?

This is where I can help.

Hi, I’m Jo

As a working mum I understand how easy it can be to lose our identity and become disconnected from who we want to be.  As a business owner I know how important it is to understand ourselves so we can use our strengths to drive our business forward in a way that feels good to us and avoids burnout.

In my previous life I have worn many hats including HR manager and leadership trainer.  I now love putting these skills into practice when working with innovative female business owners who are making a massive impact in the world and changing their industry from the inside out.

The problem is, despite their success, they know that to take their business to the next level they have to step up into a leadership role.

This. Is. Scary.

The reality is being a leader requires a different skillset to being a business owner.

On your own (or when your team was small), it was easier to keep the business on track and in alignment with your big vision.

With more people come more moving parts.

Your new role as a leader is to keep that alignment, making sure everyone is pulling in the same direction and reading from the same page.

You want your team to believe in your vision as much as you do.

To understand not just what needs doing, but crucially why.

To be excited by the difference you are making for your clients and recognise their role in making your industry better.

My 6 session 121 coaching programme is for business owners who want to step fully into that leadership role.

Who see that their business is at a crossroads.

Right now there are 3 choices:

  1. Pull back, stay small
  2. Keep ploughing on hoping for the best
  3. Step up and stand out

As a coach I will listen to you and what you need so every client I take on will go on their own journey. Some of the topics that often come up in the leadership coaching I do are:

Uniting your team around your vision

Delegating properly so you genuinely free your own time

Managing conflict (or more crucially avoiding it in the first place)

    Making decisions with confidence

    Improving communication within your team

Imagine the limitless possibilities for your business if you step into this new role that’s just waiting for you.

During our sessions Jo’s questions weren’t, for the most part, easy to answer because they required depth of thought. She gave no advice but I received a lot, from within ME; some of it gently prised out, some, kicking and screaming, but advice, nonetheless. She acknowledged my struggles, dwelling only on the nature of the potential resolutions whilst applauding my successes with a keen eye as to the how & why to perpetuate momentum.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jo as a coach, not just for her knowledge but also for her approach.

    Director, Everyday Hypnotherapy

Jo provided me with some coaching last year.

She was able to challenge my way of thinking whilst allowing me the opportunity to determine alternatives myself. This was really effective and helped me huge amounts with a number of key issues.

Jo is very good at listening, retaining huge amounts of information and deciphering it to offer great counsel.

    Managing Director, Hit Technology

Having spent 6 sessions with Jo, I can highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, caring, knowledgable coach to guide them on their way.

Not knowing what I wanted to achieve from the sessions when I started, through sheer overwhelm of questions that I just kept having rattle round my head, I left feeling much more clear and informed on the path I want to take.

Jo is incredibly patient and listens better than most people I have ever met! Highly recommend reaching out to her if you are looking for coaching.

Hiring people costs money. It’s probably the biggest investment you’ll ever make in your business. It’s up to you to make sure you are getting the value you need from your investment.

As a business owner you don’t have to apply for promotion but this is your opportunity to grab it with both hands.

You care about your business, your team and your customers.

Making the decision to work with a coach is a commitment that you will show up for all of them.

    And yourself.

It doesn’t have to be lonely at the top.
